This canopy, like the one on the Terrace, should be kept down if there is any wind, and secured around the post using the velcrose strings attached to the canopy.
It is elevated by holding the trigger in and raising until it stops which is about head height. Then using the winder and turning anti-clockwise, elevate until the nose cone is held in its turret (no need to over tighten).
Then using the same winder in the slot to the right of the slot to raise the canopy one can adjust the direction of the canopy which is most useful to avoid the full sun (normally lowering on the western side).
