Maison Les Remparts has rigorous and standardised cleaning and maintenance procedures. These are documented and a copy is available for guests to review here. The property will be fully cleaned in preparation for our guest’s arrival using the following methods and personally checked by the Housekeeper on completion:

• All windows are opened after guests have departed to air the property
• Bedlinen will not be shaken after being removed from beds and will be immediately placed into cotton bags and taken to the laundry
• All bedlinen and towelling are washed at 60 degrees celsius
• All sleeping pillows have two pillow protectors and the mattresses have a mattress protector.
• All floor surfaces are vacuumed and the filters regularly replaced
• The cleaner uses appropriate personal protective equipment including masks, disposable gloves and new gloves will be used for each rental cleaning and changed for cleaning the toilet and bathroom
• Different cloths are used for cleaning to help prevent cross contamination with other surfaces
• The cleaner regularly washes her hands throughout the cleaning procedure
• All rubbish bins are lined with a removable bag
• Environmentally cleaning products are used throughout
• Hand sanitisers are available in every bedroom and hand soap is provided at every basin.

Measures that guests can adopt during their stay include:

• Wash hands regularly especially after coughing or sneezing or being with other people such as on public transport, in gathering places, shopping areas or restaurants, etc
• Wash hands after handling and storing purchased groceries, before and after preparing food and after cleaning
• Use tissues and dispose of them appropriately, immediately after use
• Cough or sneeze into the elbow
• Wash fresh fruits and vegetables thoroughly with clean water
• Use the hand sanitiser on arrival/arriving home to prevent germs from entering and travelling through the house
