Keys

Given the quantity, keys will only be exchanged face to face with the Housekeeper.

The Housekeeper will distribute/ collect the keys to the relevant doors in your presence on Arrival/ Departure. Any key losses must be reported to the Housekeeper immediately.

Please note there is a hook adjacent to each external door and a key box in the Utility Room for your use.

“Hanging”: there is a key hanging next to the door

“Key Ring”: there is a key on the key ring

  • Front door x2 (key ring; hanging, labelled “Main 1”)
  • Dining Room door x1 (hanging, labelled “Dining 1”)
  • Dining Room shutters x1 (hanging, labelled “Dining 1” )
  • Safe x1 (in the safe, labelled “Safe 1”)
  • Back door x2 (key ring; hanging, labelled “Restaurant 1” as this was the door to go up the stairs to the Restaurant)
  • Gym x1 (in the lock, labelled “Gym 1”)
  • Courtyard x2 (key ring; hanging, labelled “Courtyard 1”)
  • Pool Changing Room x1 (hanging, labelled “Pool 1”, long key)
  • Outdoor Cooking Room x1 (hanging, hand labelled “Outdoor Cooking Room”, long key)

NB. Providing the Courtyard is locked, the owner often leaves the keys for the Pool Changing Room and Outdoor Cooking Room in the locks during the day as this area is regarded as being safe,

This means that you will be presented with one key ring of 3 keys on arrival, and shown where the others are hanging.

Please note…6.1.8  ensure that house keys remain in the possession of Guests at all times; any compromised lock will be replaced and the cost of the lock and its replacement will be deducted from the Security Deposit. Where a key is lost and it can be demonstrated that there is absolutely no possible compromise to house security 20 euros will be deducted.

Here is a list of the doors that will remain locked during your stay.

  • Downstairs: Office; Owners Accommodation (x3 doors in back corridor); Linen Cupboard
  • Upstairs: Door to Attic; Door in Main Bathroom; Linen Cupboard.
  • Outside: Door under Pool
